Youth Villages – Summer Internship

Nov. 1 application deadline for our 2015 Paid Summer Internship Program. Youth Villages is a national leader in the implementation of research-based treatment philosophies in the field of children’s mental and behavioral health with offices in 12 states and D.C. Our commitment to helping troubled children and their families find success spans 20+ years, and includes a comprehensive array of programs and services. Our summer internship takes place in either Memphis, Linden, or Nashville, Tenn., and rising juniors, seniors, and graduate students can expect: A 10-week, paid, summer counseling internship Housing options available in Memphis and Linden Initial week-long orientation training and training in the Re-Education of Emotionally Disturbed Youth Observe individual and group counseling sessions (or participate at the graduate-level) Learn how to development and implement treatment plans 40 hours per week of hands-on experience with youth struggling with emotional and behavioral problems including leading activities and life skills training Weekly consultations with leadership Planned social events/activities just for interns Can be tailored to be used for course credit Apply before our Nov. 1 deadline HERE.
